| The Morris County Board of Freeholders recently
announced that the online website that represents the Morris County government
(http://co.morris.nj.us) has been redesigned to offer more information
in a new easy accessible format over the web.
Joe Garifo, Public Information Director for Morris County, expressed
his excitement about the improved format. "We have always had a wealth
of information on the website but over time we felt that the content needed
a fresh design and better organization." said Joe. "Now, we
have a uniform attractive look and a format that all of our visitors can
easily navigate."
This website overs a broad amount of information from help on accessing
all county services to information on municipalities, schools, businesses,
as well as area history and recreation. There is an extensive collection
of links to other websites, such as local municipalities and the Morris
County Park Commission. One objective of the county website is to become
a convenient hub of information for useful information whether for all
visitors — local, national, or even from other parts of the world.
As part of the project, Morris Internet Group (MIG) designed a custom
News Headline/Press Release feature that allows the county Public Information
Office to create instant banner news headlines and press releases. MIG's
"Self-Serve Pages" technology allows office staff to make changes
directly to the web pages providing speed, convenience, and economy.
